Last Friday Details

Main- Britton lined up 6th.. finished 6th ---- brakes failed on lap 5 so britton had to change his driving from agressive to protective so that he would not go backwards... Go job britton, way to go.

Britton Pill picked a 76... Which normally is not so good, todays track 100 would have been the best. TRack was tough on everyone. Paul had to get in on the big equipment and tear it up in the middle of heat races... Which really played a factor in set up.

Qualifying 6th out of over 20 cars. Fast time was high in the 10.8 area.... Crazy, Britton ran a 11.0- again, the track wreaked havoc. Invert was a 4, we needed it to be a 6.

A main- started 7th and finished in 5th. The track really slicked off and had a one groove surface... YET AGAIN, a follow the leader track...

IF you are lucky enough to be on the invert position... You will win... All but one race this year has been won from the pole....

Britton went into the Mid Season Championships in 5th place.

Lined up by points in the Scrambles put britton 5/ out of 6. He finished the 6 lap shootout in 4th. Putting him 4th in the A main

MAIN: Britton started in 4th and ended in 4th. We made it up to 2nd position but the car just didn't want to stay hooked up throughout the 30 laps. He hit a fast lap in the 9th lap... Making the rest of the race work... We were all very pleased with the outcome. Last year britton didn't qualify for the scrambles... and He finished 7th...

SO--- We see that the kid is still learning and growing... Good things to come from this young driver ... that has only been racing on the dirt since 2004.

Britton Qualified 1st with a 10.321 (track record is a 10.251-Jared Peterson)

He rolled an 8 for the invert

In the heatrace he started 5th finished 2nd

In the Main he started from the 8th position from the invert and finished in 5th. We had a great night. POINTS POINTS POINTS......

We will be starting in the 5th position for Mid-season Championship night. as you are lined up according to where you sit in the points. so we have brittons favorite starting spot... :D ((((( From the old karting days.. )))))

Well back to racing after an awesome week off... We were able to go work W.C.D.R business at the DirtCup Events. We had more fun than ever!!!

Qualifying... I think we were 9th out of 29? i think. Just a tad to tied to the track some adjustments had to be made.

Heat Race: We started on the outside pole and fell to 5th just missing a transfer position... The guys were scratching their heads as the car just didn't want to work for us.

B Main- We finished 3rd in the B main and the engine was overheating so britt had to take it easy and just get it thru.. HE DID..
We chose to start at the very back of the pack as britt wanted to start the A but then quickly brought it off the track so we wouldn't have engine damage. Good Choice and probably saved us a few points here or there...

Well, even though it was FRIDAY THE 13th... The bad luck bug did not bite us. We had the new engine in and were a bit reserved going into the night to make sure we didn't mess ourselves up.

Qualifying: we didn't do as well as our normal... Maybe missed the set up just a bit.. We pill picked a very low number putting us early in the line up so that may have been against us as the track got better through the night.. We ended up 9th out of 28 qualifiers. Invert was 4 so we had work to do, if all went well in the heat race.

Heat Race: we started 2nd and finished 1st.. ok.. onto the main we go (NO PROBLEMS YET) even tho is FRIDAY THE 13th.. :D

In the main we were lined up on the 8th position as someone hadn't made it thru their heat race that qualified better than us. So the Outside line was preferred by Britt... all systems a go... :D

We weathered thru a few issues that happened on track staying clean and out of trouble...to finish 5th....

OUR 1st TO 5 Finish of the year... Whhhoooo hoooo.. good night....

Details from 6.6.08

Well Not alot to say.... We knew going into this race that we were just trying to get thru it to save ourselves in the points race.. Sitting 6th in points with great racers just a few points behind ya... Ya gotta run what ya can.

May 30th in our Main Event we blew an engine... Unfortunately we didn't have our new motor so we tossed last years tired one in to just try to get by until we picked up our new one... we got it Friday on the way to Deming.. Killer motor just sitting there in the trailer while we were out there "Sucking Wind on the Track"... We qualified 17th out of 24... Our first time in that deep into the group... usually we hit inside the top 5. The engine that was tired gave us all she had.... now we will send it down to the builder with the blown engine, so that we have 2 in the pocket for a situation the next time.

After the race was over - Britton says " Well it was cool incar video from the back of the other guys".. With nothing to lose, I had alot of fun from the back watching the beating and banging going on..."
I guess that is the positive way of looking at it.... Not much ya can do. Sit back and watch the show.

We'll be dropping in the new motor this week and ready to rock and roll for the 13th... EH... what is the date? hmmmmm.
